David Rugendorf Quoted by FRS Baseball Network
David Rugendorf was quoted in the article, "Heyman | Cubs made one extra special draft pick," published to FRSBaseball.com on June 14, 2018.
The article covers Itamar Steiner's being picked by the Cubs in the 40th and final round of baseball’s amateur draft. MSK Partner David Rugendorf was a friend of Steiner's late father, David Steiner, and helped Itamar Steiner come to the attention of Jason McLeod, the Cubs’ director of scouting and player development.
From the article...
"Itamar, by all accounts, is a wonderful young man who loves the game (and the Cubs), and is “a baseball maniac,' according to his late father’s friend David Rugendorf. Itamar was a starting player on the Niles North team in suburban Skokie, Ill. who manned the outfield and often batted second for his team that finished near the bottom of the standings (in old Cubs tradition), but whose greatest baseball accomplishment may have been catching nine balls at a minor-league game once."
