Robert Rotstein was mentioned in the article, "Celebrities Don’t Have to Pay You for Movie Ideas You Tweet at Them, Judge Rules," on September 8, 2017 published by Variety. The case was also mentioned in the article, "Wannabe Screenwriters: Maybe Don't Tweet Your Movie Idea," on September 11, 2017 published by Engadget.
Both articles discuss the recent ruling from a federal judge in favor of our clients. The case, filed in 2016, alleged that the plaintiff came up with the idea for the movie "Creed." Judge Lew dismissed the lawsuit noting that California law does not generally permit legal claims for theft of an idea.
