Evan Kent Joins MSK
Los Angeles, May 8, 2002 – Thomas P. Lambert, Managing Partner of Mitchell Silberberg & Knupp LLP, announced that Evan M. Kent has joined the firm as a partner in the firm’s Digital Media & Interactive Entertainment practice. Mr. Kent formerly was a partner with Russ, August, Kabat & Kent in Los Angeles.
Mr. Kent represents clients in intellectual property matters, and has extensive experience in the procurement and administration of trademarks, patents and copyrights in the United States and abroad. Much of his practice focuses on issues related to the electrical, chemical, biotechnical and mechanical industries, with special emphasis on trademark and patent protection in the United Kingdom, Pacific Rim and Central and South America.
Joining Mr. Kent in his move to MSK is Lucy B. Arant, an of counsel formerly with Russ, August. Ms. Arant, was a Trademark Examining Attorney with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and has extensive experience in trademark prosecution and enforcement.

Mr. Kent was with Spensley, Horn, Jubas & Lubitz in Los Angeles prior to joining the Russ, August firm, and earlier was a partner at McDermott, Will & Emery in Chicago. He received his Bachelor of Science in chemical engineering from Stanford, with honors, and his J.D. from the University of Chicago.
