Entering into a charitable gift annuity contract is now a very popular way of making a gift to charity. This is because a charitable gift annuity provides a donor with a way to assist his or her charity of choice while allowing the donor to obtain a financial benefit from the contribution. The donor gets an annuity (usually for life) and may claim a current charitable income tax deduction.
