Experience

Legal Expertise

Brian works closely with multinational corporations, major production studios, and talent and management agencies to devise creative immigration strategies for executives, production teams, on-screen talent in film and television, musicians, athletes, and artists to work on multi-million dollar projects in the United States. As an immigration attorney and trusted advisor on global mobility matters for leading companies in such sectors as entertainment, fashion, design, cosmetics, and videogames, he counsels on complex labor and employment issues for foreign nationals.

A graduate of UC Berkeley's Legal Studies program, Brian’s love for travel inspired him to also pursue law and business studies at Melbourne Law School (Australia) and at Keio University (Japan) on the Monbukagakusho Scholarship. He then returned to the US, ready to channel his international experience into helping professionals from other countries to live and work here on exciting opportunities. Brian really enjoys getting to understand his clients’ diverse backgrounds/industries and the projects that they are working on in order to present a comprehensive story and compelling case for them.

Additionally, Brian always looks to give back to his community and champion diversity through leadership roles — as a DEI Liaison with the American Immigration Lawyers Association, as a Board Member of the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association (the oldest AAPI Bar Association in the nation), and through service on our firm’s Pro Bono Committee. He also believes that it's important to help to mentor the next generation, frequently sharing insights about the immigration process with young entrepreneurs and talent, as well as serving as a mentor with bar associations and his alma mater.
