  • Successfully secured early favorable resolutions in single plaintiff employment cases involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and/or unfair competition allegations.
  • Effectively defended and achieved favorable settlements in class and PAGA representative wage and hour actions, notably within the motion picture and television industry concerning issues related to late payment of wages, regular rate miscalculations, and missed or late breaks.
  • Drafted and obtained successful outcomes through motions for summary judgment, motions to dismiss, and motions to compel arbitration on behalf of employers.
  • Advocated for and obtained dismissals of multiple claims in guild disputes and arbitrations representing producers, even before arbitration hearings commenced.
  • Provided comprehensive advice and counsel to employers, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws. Advised on leaves of absence, disability accommodations, performance management, wage and hour regulations, reductions in force, and other cutting-edge legal issues, effectively preventing litigation.

  • Represented a retailer against a certified class of truck drivers in a month-long wage-and-hour trial in federal court, successfully defeated a motion seeking $80+ million in penalties, and drafted appeal to Ninth Circuit.
  • Defended a technology company in a month-long arbitration where claimant sought over $1 billion in a contract dispute; trial experience includes second-chairing witnesses and drafting direct/cross examinations.
  • Successfully obtained asylum for 3 pro bono clients, including one at the Board of Immigration Appeals.
